What a fantastic program! One year we took our two Samoyeds to Yellowstone. That was in the 90’s. It would have been great if there had been a kennel. We could have stayed a night time two.
I love our National Parks, and was fortunate that my parents did, too, and took our brood camping every summer, stopping at the whichever National Park was en route, to and from our destination. Our country is so beautiful, magnificent.
Nice to hear my Smuckers is welcome at all these parks and that there are kennels at some to take care of her if I’m off on my own. I’ll be checking out Petrofied Park next month with the pooch, I’ll give you the report then!

Peanut can become a ranger!
He needs to!
What a fantastic program! I'm going to share this post with my colleagues who love their dogs and love the NPS, if that's okay with you!
Absolutely! It's a wonderful way to engage families and people with pets. I'm glad you see it as an important program.
